No complaints. Works really well. I attach it to my sun-visor and the microphone / speaker functions well.
Oh well. But no. I have been able to reglue the little plastic latch inside the case that holds the mic in place on most of the units. But one time the latch itself was broken, and another time the customer tried to reglue it and ruined the latch. Just thought that anyone deciding whether or not to purchase a Blueant product might want to know about the companies policy when it comes to warranty. I thought I was doing Blueant a favor by taking care of our customers and increasing customer satisfaction.
I sell these at our car dealership for customers who would like an inexpensive bluetooth solution rather than purchase a more expensive built in car kit. Since every one is going to fail sooner or later, and I would like to be prepared, and the customer service rep basically told me to take a hike. Pay for shipping both ways (whoever pays for it) and the customer being without their bluetooth for weeks at a time. Wow. His answer was, "I don't care, do what you want". Period.I have had to fix dozens of these things for our customers so that they would not be inconvenienced by being without their bluetooth for weeks and having to pay to ship the thing back to Blueant for a warranty replacement. These have been doing well except for the microphone on the supertooth light. IT ALWAYS BREAKS.
He didn't care at all that I was going to stop selling these things. I argued the point with him to no avail. You would think that they would be happy that one of their retailers would take the opportunity to save them some money and create goodwill with their customers. He couldn't care less if I stopped selling Blueant products. They use a very tiny amount of inferior adhesive to hold the latch in place and it will fail on every unit.
I couldn't believe his statement. BECAUSE IT WILL NEED TO BE WARRANTIED SOONER OR LATER. Either he is selling so many of these that they can't make enough of them or he is the worst customer service rep for a company I have ever seen. (Sometimes before its even sold it will break). I even told him I would have to quit selling these because of the poor quality and his companies bad policy of not wanting to help out.
It just seems like a lousy way of doing business. Ok fine.Well, today I called the Blueant company to get them to send me a couple of replacement latches so that I could continue to fix the customers units here at the dealership. But he basically told me off for opening the case and voiding the warranty.
It's operation is simple and the battery life is great. Voice command quality is dependent on your phone, mine doesn't understand me all the time, but when it does it works. I've had the BlueAnt Supertooth Light Bluetooth Speakerphone for about three weeks now and I am very satisfied with it. I've forgotten to turn it off a few times, leaving it in standby mode for about two weeks, and have yet to re-charge it. It's blinking blue standby/power light is a minor distraction at night but you need something to let you know it's on. It was easy to set up and works well. The sound is clear for me and the people I am speaking to.
Great gadget, easy setup, easy to use & great sound. No problems w/other people hearing us or visa versa. The magnet is nice & strong, no problems there either.
In the larger settings, during Q and A, the audience member must speak up or the unit can be easily moved closer to them. I bought this not for use in my car but to to use in meetings I have in various locations that do not have speakerphones available. Meeting attendees have been complimentary and some liked the use of the device so much they bought one. It is a small investment that allows me to bring far away guest speakers to locations that are too expensive/remote to travel to for a half hour presentation. I often have guest speakers who cannot be on location in meetings. It works well in conference rooms with a small number of participants as well as medium sized meeting rooms with 30 plus guests.
